By September 2025, all eligible children from 9 months to school age will receive 30 hours of funded childcare. For more details, visit the government's Childcare Choices website. For information on current schemes, please see below.

15 Hours Funded

Currently in England, the government is offering a program for free early education upto 15 hours per week that provides childcare to children who are eligible and aged 9 months or older.

Childcare Funding Options

The UK government has introduced Tax-Free Childcare to assist working parents in covering the expenses of childcare.

 

The government will add an extra 20p for every 80p paid by you or someone else, which is equivalent to the 20% tax most people pay.

15 hour funded childcare

30 Hours Funded

We are delighted to provide 30 hours of funded childcare to eligible families at Cherry Tree Nursery. In England, all 3 and 4-year-olds receive 15 hours of government-funded early education per week. If parents are living and working in England, their 3 and 4-year-olds may be eligible.
